The Tres Cruces Project is a 100%-owned advanced-stage gold development project located in the Department of La Libertad in northern Peru, approximately 12 km from the Lagunas Norte Mine and accessible via public roads. Tres Cruces forms part of the broader Lagunas Norte Complex and is currently at the preliminary economic assessment stage, positioned to leverage the established infrastructure, permitting base and operating expertise already in place at the neighbouring mine.
The Tres Cruces deposit is a low- to intermediate-sulphidation epithermal gold system, hosted by a bimodal suite of andesitic to rhyolitic flows, domes, breccias and volcaniclastic units. Gold occurs in association with fine-grained, dark, arsenical pyrite and is generally disseminated within the volcanic host rocks, along structural zones and at lithologic contacts. Apart from legacy drill roads and pads, there is currently no permanent infrastructure on site, offering operational flexibility in the design of future development.
Tres Cruces' proximity to the Lagunas Norte Mine — only 12 km away, connected by public roads — is central to its economic profile. Under Boroo's hub-and-spoke operating model, Tres Cruces ore can be transported via mine roads to the existing Lagunas Norte processing facilities, reducing development capital intensity, allowing the project to share fleet, camps, environmental-monitoring systems, power infrastructure and technical services, and accelerating the path from first drill hole to first gold pour.
Boroo is advancing the environmental permit required to initiate exploration and in-fill drilling activities on the property. As part of the permitting process, Boroo held a community workshop with stakeholders from the project's area of influence, during which the local community expressed full support for the project's development. Tres Cruces' permitting pathway builds directly on more than two decades of community relationships and regulatory experience established at the neighbouring Lagunas Norte Mine.
