The Alturas Project is a 100%-owned, advanced-stage gold exploration asset located in the highly prospective El Indio Belt of northern Chile, near the Chile-Argentina border. The El Indio Belt is one of the world's most productive high-sulphidation epithermal gold districts, historically yielding over 50 million ounces of gold and hosting major operations including Veladero.
Alturas is a high-sulphidation, epithermal gold system discovered by Barrick Mining in 2015. Mineralisation extends from near-surface to depths well below current resource constraints, with confirmed oxidised mineralisation between approximately 100 and 200 metres, offering favourable metallurgical characteristics for conventional processing. The deposit has been delineated through more than 130,000 metres of diamond drilling, supporting the current mineral resource estimate and a preliminary economic assessment and scoping study previously completed by the original operator.
Boroo intends to advance the Alturas Project in a phased manner. The Company has committed to complete a Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS). Planned workstreams include infill and resource confirmation drilling, metallurgical test work, environmental baseline studies and permitting groundwork, water and infrastructure scoping, and early engineering trade-off studies, all designed to advance Alturas through the PFS gate and position the Company to evaluate next-stage feasibility and development options.
Throughout this phased programme, Boroo will continue to engage constructively with local authorities and communities in the project area, consistent with the Company's commitment to responsible mining and long-term social licence.
