Health and Safety

At Boroo, our approach to health and safety is to adopt a proactive approach to prevent occupational injuries and work-related illnesses. Our aim is ‘Zero’ accidents or safety incidents. This is a collective responsibility involving all our employees, subcontractors and our communities; furthermore, we require our contractors to comply with our health and safety principles.

Boroo acknowledges its responsibility to provide and maintain a working environment that enables employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors, to achieve our vision of “Every person going home safe and healthy every day”

To support the development of our host countries, our long-term goal have been to hire 95% of our workforce directly from the country in which the mine is located.
